The individual possesses a Master of Business Administration (MBA) obtained in 2003 from Malaysia. Additionally, they have received notable achievements, including a scholarship for "Productivity Management" in 2003 and participation in the "Productivity & Quality Management Program" offered by the Professional Standards Board (PSB) in Singapore during 2004.
Furthermore, they currently hold the status of Ordinary Member of the Charter Insurance Institute (OM-CII) for the period 2021-2022.
Throughout their career, they have accumulated 29 years of experience, encompassing 22 years in the general insurance industry, dating back to its inception in late 1995 until 2024. This experience includes involvement in the establishment of a general insurance company. Subsequently, they transitioned to the banking and microfinance sector, where they contributed for a period of 7 years from 2008 to 2015.
On August 5, 2024, he assumed the role of Group CEO/Financial Business at SEENERGY CAPITAL. His extensive experience in insurance and banking microfinance has been instrumental in driving business expansion and contributing to the company's overall revenue growth.
Throughout their professional journey, Mr. Ouk Sameath has consistently demonstrated a commitment to applying their expertise and dedicating their time and leadership skills gained from working with various multinational companies. They have successfully managed and delivered support and service programs, catering to both niche and mass markets in Cambodia, while ensuring inclusive service delivery nationwide, including to expatriate communities.
With substantial work experience and demonstrated leadership abilities, he was recently acknowledged as one of the "Top 10 CEOs From Cambodia 2022" by CEO Insight Asia. Furthermore, under his guidance, the organization received the "Business Excellence Awards 2022" for general insurance, and he was elected as the General Insurance Vice-Chairman of the IAC Board for 2023.
